Regenerative Agriculture Commodity Exchange.
About.
Kelly Ann translates sustainability ambitions into measurable progress. Growing up on a dairy farm in Nova Scotia, she understands agriculture from the ground up.
With a PhD in Environmental Science from ETH Zurich and over a decade of experience working across global agricultural supply chains, she helps businesses cut emissions and build net zero strategies that work in the real world.
Her expertise lies in operationalising climate ambition—assessing baseline capabilities and identifying cost-efficient, credible data from the market to set targets the business can track, improve, and report on—ensuring decarbonisation plans are both ambitious and executable.
At Kraft Heinz, she led large-scale decarbonisation planning across the enterprise; before that, she shaped climate-smart procurement at Barry Callebaut. Data-driven, grounded in what works, and focused on real-world impact—Kelly Ann turns climate goals into measurable progress.

Consulting for Brands & CPGs.
Through K.A. Ross, Kelly Ann provides consulting services to global CPG companies, helping them turn climate commitments into tangible, actionable results.
As a consultant serving as Global Head of Net Zero at Kraft Heinz (July 2024– June 2025), K.A. Ross led the development and external communication of transition plans for large-scale emissions reductions across the enterprise. She integrated climate targets into business decision-making by clarifying key uncertainties, aligning accounting methodologies, and enabling commercial teams to set operational targets that translate into real climate impact. She also shaped the technology vision to embed decarbonisation into daily operations for effective strategy delivery.
Building Environmental Markets.
Kelly Ann is leading a work package under Horizon Europe, the EU’s flagship research and innovation program.
As part of the Open Geospatial Carbon Registry (OGCR) project (June 2025 – May 2029), Kelly Ann is developing and demonstrating business models that connect landholders, carbon markets, and corporate buyers.
Her aim? To make carbon farming credible and scalable by aligning financial incentives with regenerative practices. Her work helps shape how business needs and revenue streams feed into the development of a trusted, pan-European geospatial carbon registry and contributes to the EU’s Carbon Removal Certification Framework (CRCF) by grounding these systems in real market use cases and data needs.

RACE – The Future of Environmental Markets.
Kelly Ann is developing the long-term vision for RACE—an independent clearinghouse that enables environmental performance from regenerative systems to become tradeable, transparent, and verifiable across agricultural supply chains.
RACE connects corporate buyers, traders, and food processors to the environmental performance embedded in the commodities they source. Rather than functioning as a marketplace, it provides the infrastructure, assurance, and governance needed to support transparency, comparability, and regulatory alignment.
By setting standardised methodologies for verifying and valuing environmental performance, RACE will enable:
CPGs to integrate environmental performance directly into sourcing decisions
Landholders to monetise verified improvements in environmental performance
